It's all about me

A month from today on my birthday, Netflix is going to drop the third series of The Umbrella Academy. That's nice of them. I wonder where they got the date? Perhaps I had to enter it as some part of signing up. I almost haven't got the heart now to tell them I am thinking of dumping them in favour of a full Spotify subscription, my music to video consumption ratio being highly skewed towards my choonz. I needz my choonz.

On the tube to the South Bank yesterday (Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden, followed by Prince: Purple Passion and Pomp at the BFI, thanks f'r arskin'). I picked up a copy of Friday's Standard from the seat and read that on June 22nd:
Jools Holland and an all-star line up unite to Raise the Roof at the Royal Albert Hall.

Hosted by AJ Odudu and Jim Moir, this unforgettable evening of music and comedy will include performances by Celeste, Melanie C, Paloma Faith, Paul Weller, Ruby Turner and Van Morrison. Stand-up stars Gina Yashere, Omid Djalili, Stephen K Amos and Shaparak Khorsandi will showcase their comedic talents.
It's presented as a Prostate Cancer UK Benefit. Am I being entitled, complacent and superficial to think it sounds more like my surprise birthday party?

Everyone else in the world: Yes Nick. Yes you are. Entitled, complacent and superficial doesn't even begin to cover it.
