Julia Eileen Gillard (born 29 September 1961 in Barry, Wales, United Kingdom) is the 27th Prime Minister of Australia, and is the first woman to hold that office. She was sworn in as Australia's 27th Prime Minister on 24 June 2010.A Welsh Born Icon previously unknown to me.
