I just installed a nice little tool on this site called Snap Shots that enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles, IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more. What do you think of it? At first I thought it was a great idea, but now I have installed it I find it somewhat overwhelming. I will try and trim it down a little. I like it on the post titles (I'm not sure that it was all that clear before that they are links) and on the blogroll, but it is redundant on internal and functional links.
Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you "look ahead," before deciding if you want to follow a link or not.
Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.
Expect tinkering.

tried to load it on mine & failed, then gave up :$
now not sure if I want it or not
I think you are right, it is redundant on internal links. That said, overall, I find it to be an outstanding tool. Cool!
Chris, it seems to take a while to start working. Hang in there.
