BBC Heaven!

The schedule on BBC 4 this evening is:
20:00–21:00
Come Bell Ringing with Charles Hazlewood
For over 1,200 years church bells have called the faithful to worship, helping people celebrate triumph and commemorate tragedy. But the fact that they are one of the largest and loudest musical instruments in the world is often overlooked.

21:00–22:00
Public Enemy: Prophets of Rage
In the late 1980s Public Enemy were the biggest rap group on the planet. With a rebellious attitude to match their militant image they sold millions of records preaching pro-black politics through a groundbreaking wall of noise that changed the sound of hip hop. White, middle Americans were outraged, but their kids loved it.
This juxtaposition is music programming of genius. The only thing that could possibly be better would be Public Enemy with Charles Hazlewood.

The license fee is in safe hands.
